Periodontist Position in Marin County, CA: Partnership or Ownership Track

Full-scope perio and implants in a 100% fee-for-service Bay Area practice, with a clear path to ownership/partnership

This is a privately owned, doctor-led practice. NOT a DSO. A well-established periodontal practice with a multi-decade legacy in the San Francisco Bay Area is looking for a Periodontist who wants more than an associateship. The owner is ready to bring on a future partner, mentor them through the transition, and stay on to make the handoff a success.

Key Features

• Compensation: 40% of production or $1,500-$2,000 daily, whichever is greater, with room to negotiate for the right candidate
• Strong production: Practice averages $14,000 in daily production
• 100% fee-for-service
• Schedule: Start 2-3 days per week and build from there. Flexible on days, with Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday preferred
• Employment path: Begins as 1099, moving to W-2 with health insurance, malpractice, and CE benefits as days are added
• Position growth into partner/owner: Discussions begin at 6-12 months, followed by a 1-2 year transition
• Full scope: Periodontics and implants, mostly aesthetic cases with some All-on-X
• Steady volume: 60 new patients per month, 4-6 new patient consults and 4-7 surgeries daily
• Sedation: Nitrous and oral conscious sedation, with the office IV sedation ready
• Technology: CBCT, Trios intraoral scanner, guided implant therapy, LANAP, fully digital office

An established referral network. The practice works with more than 100 referring dentists across the Bay Area. Part of this role is helping lead that community: roughly one day spent in the community connecting with referrers, plus a monthly study club. If you enjoy building relationships with GPs, this is where you will thrive.

Ideal patient base. Marin County is a suburban community minutes from San Francisco, the East Bay, and the North Bay. Patients are highly educated and dentally proactive, and the practice is entirely fee-for-service.

The ideal candidate has around two years of experience, communicates well with both patients and referring doctors, and is comfortable with guided implant and soft tissue procedures. LANAP experience is a plus but not required. A proactive, considerate chairside manner fits this team best.

Licensure: Active California dental license (or in process) required.
